Ranvia

Support

Requirements, creating an API key, backing up data and managing the subscription. If your answer is not here, write to us: support@ranvia.app

Requirements

  • A Mac with macOS 12 or later.
  • The app speaks English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. It follows your Mac's language; change it in “Settings → General”.
  • To publish to the App Store: an Apple Developer Program membership and an App Store Connect API key with App Manager access.
  • Optional: an Apple Ads account (for search popularity) and your own AI model key (for the AI features).

Create an App Store Connect API key

The first time takes about two minutes.

  1. Open App Store Connect → Users and Access → Integrations → App Store Connect API → Team Keys.
  2. Click + to generate a key. Name it Ranvia, for example, and choose the App Manager access role. Only the Account Holder or an Admin can generate keys.
  3. Download AuthKey_XXXXXXXXXX.p8. Apple lets you download it only once, so keep a backup.
  4. Copy the Issuer ID at the top of the page and the key's Key ID (the 10 characters in the file name).
  5. Under Apps → your app → App Information, copy the Apple ID (a number). That is the App ID.
  6. In Ranvia, use the first-run guide or the App Store Connect card in the project overview: click “Import API key”, choose the .p8 file and enter the three IDs. The app reads your app from Apple once with the key to confirm they match before saving.

Switching on App Analytics reports (store conversion in Live status) needs a key with the Admin role.

What works without a key

  • Keyword research: search suggestions, public search results, shelf difficulty, frequent competitors, competitor records and daily ranks, all from Apple's public data.
  • Store listing, the screenshot studio, preview video and release preparation, plus exporting content packs and screenshots.

Publishing, custom product pages, live status and reviews need the key, because they read and write your app in App Store Connect. Apple Ads popularity needs an Apple Ads API user; the AI features need your own model key.

Where data lives and how to back it up

Every project is stored on your Mac. “Settings → General → Project files → Show in Finder” opens the data folder.

Back up or move to another Mac: click “Export content pack” in the project overview or release preparation. The pack holds the listing copy for every language, a keyword and source CSV, the project with its original assets, an ASC CLI / fastlane metadata folder, and drafts of version, category and review details. On the other Mac, open Ranvia and click “Restore content pack”.

Not in the pack, so prepare these again on a new Mac:

  • Keys and the demo account password: they are encrypted on the original Mac and must be imported again.
  • Screenshot PNGs: export them from the screenshot studio.
  • Preview video screen recordings: import them again.

Subscription

Research, editing and export are always free. Writing to App Store Connect (publishing copy, uploading screenshots, replying to reviews) and the AI copy assistant, review reply drafts and AI backgrounds need Ranvia Pro, a monthly or yearly subscription bought through Apple, with a free trial.

Restore purchases

After reinstalling or on another Mac, sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account and click “Restore Purchases” under “Settings → Subscription”.

Cancel

Apple manages the subscription. It renews automatically and can be cancelled at any time; cancelling during the free trial means you are not charged. On your Mac, open the App Store, click your name at the bottom left, open Account Settings and click Manage next to Subscriptions, or open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. While subscribed, “Settings → Subscription” in Ranvia also has “Manage subscription”.

Payments and refunds are handled by Apple; request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Write to support@ranvia.app. To help us understand the problem quickly, please include:

  • your macOS version and the Ranvia version (Settings → General → Version);

Please never send a .p8 private key, an API key or a password by email. We will never ask you for them.
