Ranvia

Privacy policy

Ranvia does not collect your data. Projects, screenshots and keys stay on your Mac.

Effective

In short

Ranvia is an app that runs on your Mac. We, its developer, run no account system and no server of our own, and we do not collect, receive or sell any of your personal data. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”; this policy explains how that holds.

“We” means the developer of Ranvia; “you” means the person using it.

Data kept on your Mac

The projects you create, the screenshots and assets you import, listing drafts, keyword research, competitor records, rank readings, synced reviews, the release log and the audit log are all stored on your Mac in the app's own data folder (inside its sandbox container, ~/Library/Containers/studio.asc.desktop/). To open it, use “Settings → General → Project files → Show in Finder”.

None of it is uploaded to us. Files are written elsewhere only when you export a content pack, screenshots or a video to a place you choose.

Keys and credentials

Ranvia stores these credentials: your App Store Connect API key (the .p8 private key, Key ID and Issuer ID), your Apple Ads API private key, the AI model and image model keys you enter, and the review demo account password from release preparation.

  • They are encrypted with the encryption macOS provides and saved in the data folder; the encryption key is held by the macOS Keychain, and the file is readable only by your user account.
  • Once saved they are never shown again, and they are never written into project files, content packs or export folders.
  • They are used only to call the matching service directly from your Mac: the App Store Connect API, the Apple Ads API and the model provider you configured.

Where the app connects

Ranvia goes online only when you use a feature that needs it, and always connects from your Mac directly to these services. Your projects, keys and copy never pass through us; the only thing the app fetches from us is the public official style packs on our website (the last item below).

Apple's public App Store services

Keyword research, shelf difficulty, competitor checks and rank tracking query Apple's public search, search suggestion and app lookup services. These requests carry the keywords, app IDs and storefront country or region you are researching, and load those apps' icons and screenshots from Apple's servers. They need no sign-in, and Apple's privacy policy applies to them.

App Store Connect API

Once you import a key, publishing, live status, reviews, App Analytics reports and product page tests use it to read and write your own data in App Store Connect.

Apple Ads API (optional)

Only after you connect your own Apple Ads API user in Settings → Apple Ads does the app use it, to read keyword search popularity.

The AI model provider you configure (optional)

The AI copy assistant, review reply drafts and AI backgrounds are optional. When you use them, the app sends the material you are working on (for example your listing copy and project description, the review you are answering, or the prompt for a background image) directly to the provider you set up in Settings → AI model. That provider's own terms and privacy policy govern what it does with it. If you do not use these features, nothing is sent.

Ranvia's website

While the app is open, it checks ranvia.app about once a day for new official style packs, and again when you click “Check for new styles” in Settings → Style packs. New packs are downloaded to your Mac and used only after their signature checks out. These requests only fetch public files and carry no project content, keys or anything that identifies you. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver the files and shows us only overall traffic figures; we keep no record of these requests and do not link them to you.

What we do not do

  • No analytics, usage reporting or crash reporting.
  • No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no advertising identifier.
  • No third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
  • The bundled asc command-line tool, which talks to the App Store Connect API, runs inside Ranvia with its own telemetry turned off.
  • This website sets no cookies of its own and loads no analytics, fonts or other third-party content.

Subscriptions and payment

Ranvia Pro is an in-app subscription sold through Apple. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details, Apple account or contact details. The app reads the App Store receipt on your Mac to see whether a subscription is active.

Notifications

When a keyword's rank drops clearly, or a competitor changes its name or screenshots, the app may show a macOS notification. Notifications are created locally on your Mac and pass through no push server. You can turn the checks off in Settings → General, or turn notifications off in macOS System Settings → Notifications.

Children

Ranvia is a tool for app developers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Deleting your data

  • Remove keys: on the App Store Connect card in the project overview, click Remove; in Settings → AI model, click Delete key or Delete image key; in Settings → Apple Ads, click Disconnect and delete.
  • Remove everything: quit the app, delete it, then delete its data folder (see “Data kept on your Mac”).
  • If you stop using it, also revoke the API key in App Store Connect, remove the matching public key in Apple Ads, and delete the key at your model provider.

Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing to ask us to delete.

Changes to this policy

If the way Ranvia handles data changes, we will update this page and its effective date first, and describe significant changes in the app's release notes.
