Ranvia

A Mac app for App Store developers: research keywords, write your store listing, design screenshots, publish with your own App Store Connect key, then see whether the change worked.

See what people search for

Type a word and see Apple's search suggestions, the public search results and the apps that rank, then decide which words go into your name, subtitle and keyword field.

The keyword research page: a keyword table with each word's position, difficulty and Apple Ads popularity, and a Frequent competitors tab listing the apps that appear most often in Apple's top 10 for those words, plus the words where several competitors rank and you do not.
  • Suggestions and public results. Query Apple's search suggestions and public search results directly, no key needed. Suggestion depth shows how many letters it takes before Apple suggests the word.
  • Shelf difficulty. A 1–100 score from the ratings and names of Apple's top 10 results: how hard it is for a new app to break into the front row.
  • Apple Ads popularity. Connect your own Apple Ads API user to read Apple's 1–100 search popularity. No campaigns, no spend.
  • Candidate pool. Combine long-tail terms from a product brief, or take words from competitors' public names, descriptions and from user reviews. Candidates are kept apart from your list until you review them.
  • Frequent competitors. Which apps most often rank in the top 10 for your words, how many words each holds, and which words several competitors share while you are missing.
  • Competitors and ranks. Saved competitors keep a record of renames, new screenshots and new versions. While the app is open it checks them once a day and reads the public rank of your chosen keywords, and tells you about a clear drop.

Copy and screenshots, together

Name, subtitle, keyword field and screenshot captions affect each other, so they are written in one project and each is checked against the App Store's rules.

Store listing

Write the name, subtitle, keyword field and description per language with live character counts. A side panel lists every language the storefront searches, and can plan your chosen keywords across those languages' keyword fields. The AI copy assistant uses your own model key to propose a few versions; you pick one and apply it.

The store listing page: fields for name, subtitle, keywords and description, each with its character count and limit, and a store text preview and field check on the right.

Screenshot studio

Dozens of built-in styles, 3D devices among them. A set can be one continuous panorama canvas that reads as a single long image when swiped in the store. Write captions per language, preview them in search results and on the product page, and export at the sizes the App Store asks for.

The screenshot studio: two screenshot canvases side by side, the screenshot list on the left and layout, caption and type settings on the right.

Preview video Experimental

Turn a screen recording of your app into a 15–30 second App Preview with an opening card, an end card and captions, exported to Apple's specification, one file per language. Uploading is still done on the App Store Connect website for now.

The preview video page: a drop area for an iPhone screen recording, with the export specification 886 × 1920, H.264, 30 frames per second, with an audio track.

A plan before every write

With your own App Store Connect API key, copy, screenshots and version details go straight from your Mac into App Store Connect, through no other server.

  • Every write starts as a plan: which app, which version, which languages, what changes. By default a system dialog asks you each time, and nothing is written until you confirm.
  • Before submitting for review it runs the checks and lists what is missing and where to fix it. Submitting always asks first, whatever the write mode.
  • Every write, cancellation and failure goes into the release log. Irreversible actions such as deleting a language are never done for you.
  1. Writes the name, subtitle, keywords and description you prepared to the new version.

    Copy

  2. Uploads the set exported from the screenshot studio, matched by device and language.

    Screenshots

  3. Compares item by item with App Store Connect and writes only what differs.

    Version and review details

  4. Checks first, then submits, listing anything missing and where to add it.

    Submit for review

The project overview: a This round card saying round 4 changed 2 screenshots, with rank changes since release and the verdict Keep; project status and rank tracking on the right.

Did the change work?

Every write is recorded as a release round. Watch ranks and reviews during the observation window, then judge the result against what you expected.

  • Live status. Review and release progress, where the live listing differs from your draft, and the rank of your chosen keywords. With App Analytics reports switched on, compare impressions, downloads and conversion for the 7 days before and after release.
  • Reviews. Sync your app's reviews, filter by stars and reply. AI can draft a reply; you edit it and send it yourself.
  • Experiments. Write down what you expect from each round; after 7 days of observation it reads keep, roll back or inconclusive. Product page test results are recorded here too.

Your data stays on your Mac

No account to create, and we have no server. Projects, screenshots and research are kept on your Mac.

  • Your App Store Connect key, Apple Ads private key and model keys are stored encrypted on the Mac and used only to reach Apple and your chosen model provider directly from it.
  • AI features use your own key and go straight to the provider you configured. We do not resell model usage.
  • No analytics, crash reporting, ads or tracking. The bundled asc command-line tool runs with its telemetry turned off.
  • To move to another Mac or hand a project over, export a content pack and restore it there.

Questions

What do I need to start?

A Mac with macOS 12 or later. Research, copy and screenshots need nothing else. To publish to the App Store you need an Apple Developer Program membership and an App Store Connect API key with App Manager access. How to create the key.

What works without an API key?

Keyword research, store listing, the screenshot studio, preview video, release preparation and content pack export. Publishing, live status and reviews read and write your app in App Store Connect, so they need the key.

Do my keys or data go to you?

No. We have no server and receive nothing. Keys are stored encrypted on your Mac and used only to connect from it directly to Apple or the model provider you chose. The privacy policy lists every place the app connects to and what it sends.

How are the AI features paid for?

The AI copy assistant, review reply drafts and AI backgrounds need Pro and use your own model key (an OpenAI-compatible service or Anthropic). The provider bills usage to your account; we do not resell it or add a margin.

How do I move to a new Mac?

Export a content pack from the project overview or release preparation, then restore it in the app on the new Mac. Keys are not part of the pack; import them again there.

How do I cancel the subscription?

Apple manages the subscription: in the App Store, click your name, open Account Settings and click Manage next to Subscriptions, or open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. After reinstalling or on a new Mac, use Restore Purchases under Settings → Subscription.
